Having a job working with animals has been my passion since I was 7. I used to shadow my aunt at the Veterinary clinic in the summer and that kick started my love for this field. And, running a rescue has always been a dream, when this job became available, I felt it was time to pursue that dream. I stood with what this rescue believed in and I was ready to help get homeless animals off the streets for good and into the homes they deserved.

I have many favorite parts of this job. It’s from rescuing and rehabilitating injured animals to taking time to find the perfect match for the animals and their new homes. Nothing beats spending every day with our Fur Friends and watching them walk out these doors and head into their next great adventure.

Outside of work- usually you can catch me creating some form of new memories with my dog Mason. Whether we are exploring a new park, finding an ice cream parlor we have never been too or exploring new backroads that we have never taken before. I am also an avid video gamer and enjoy making new friends around the world while playing! A few fun facts about me- I collect Monopoly games (Currently own over 80), Mason and I are a certified Therapy Team and travel to Nursing homes and Hospitals, and I rescued an off the track Thoroughbred horse and spent summers competing in horse shows around Ohio.

I am a fellow rescue dog myself and I like coming to a place that helps animals find homes just as I had help finding one myself. I also couldn’t let my mom go to work without me as she would miss me too much as she has terrible separation anxiety.

I really enjoying greeting everyone that comes into the building. I also love walking around the events to play security and test out how good everyone is at giving belly rubs. I have to make sure my friends here go to good homes with humans that give top notch pets and ear scratches. I also really love seeing my fellow fur family members get the homes they deserve.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work or some fun facts about you?
I love to go hiking and explore the world with my friends
I enjoy barking at the deer as mom drives me through the park
I also love sharing snacks with all the AP staff when they take breaks

My favorite part of my job is experiencing the animals finding their forever homes!
My interests outside of work include hiking, traveling, and spending time with my fur babies, family, and friends.

Interacting with the dogs and building a trusting relationship with them is my favorite part of my job.
When not working with the animals, I enjoy hiking, and promoting bands and going to concerts. Fun fact – I have also been an experienced landscaper for 35 years.

I have always loved animals and I’ve always wanted to work with them. I want to see great animals get amazing homes.
Watching the animals come out of their shells after coming in is my favorite part of my job. They all have such different personalities and are all so sweet!
When I am not working, I go hiking occasionally and I love to crochet.

My favorites part of my job are building a bond with the animals and finding them homes.
When not working with the animals at APAV, I enjoy playing video games, you can usually find me playing strategy or role-playing games.
Fun fact – I have been around animals my whole life including cats, dogs, lizards, fish and turtles.
