724-339-7388 533 Linden Avenue New Kensington, PA 15068 Who We Are We are a no-kill, non-profit shelter located in New Kensington, PA. Our shelter is always full of animals, many which are strays. Our shelter is a constant stream of activity. New animals are examined for possible problems, medical charts are checked and medication is administered, when needed. Cat cages and dog kennels are cleaned daily. From the time the shelter opens until it closes, there's a constant flurry of cleaning, feeding, exercising, cuddling, caring. Fresh food, water, litter boxes, and blankets are placed in each cage daily.
Pumba's Surgery Fund
Animal Protectors is collecting money to fund an operation for Pumba, a three-year old service dog, who was shot in the leg in an alley behind his house in New Kensington last month. Pumba serves as a service dog and companion to the family's five- year old daughter with cerebral palsy. If you would like to donate, please mail donations to the address below. Any money left over will be put into a fund for other animals in need of medical care at the shelter. Thank you for your help!
Volunteers Needed! Our shelter is always in need of dedicated and caring animal lovers who are willing to sacrifice their time to help care for our many dogs and cats that reside at the shelter. Volunteers are needed to help walk and bathe dogs, socialize cats, aid in animal transportation to vet appointments and shelter events, and more! If you have the time to help an animal in need, please contact the shelter at 724-339-7388 for volunteer information. Working with our animals is truly a rewarding experience!
