Welcome to Pit Bull Corner!

Animal Protectors is a temporary home to several homeless Pit Bulls every year. We are a no-kill shelter that ensures that these animals receive the safe and loving homes that they deserve, no matter how long that may take to happen. We hope that any pet owner that decides to house a Pit Bull does so responsibly, and we encourage pet owners to have their Pit Bull spayed or neutered.

Titus

Update: Great news! Titus has been adopted! Be a good boy Titus, we'll miss you!

Titus has been lucky enough to go out and about lately with the two pictured pitty gal's below. He has proven himself to be a true gentlemen. He is a smart boy with an awesome personality. An AP volunteer had the following to say of Titus' home visit with AP alum Bridgette and adoptable Gidget:

" I brought the three home for the day. All three were perfect in the car, at the park, and at home. Two nicer dogs you will not likely find."

Titus can be seen in the just released issue of American Pit Bull Terrier Magazine, along with other adoptable Pit Bulls. Our handsome guy can be found on page 43.

In Loving Memory of Liberty

Our sweet Libby went to the rainbow bridge on July 31st. She was humanely put to rest after several attempts to fix her little damaged body. Liberty was a sweet little girl who gave the vet techs kisses when leaving the vet's office, even when she was in miserable condition. She was always so excited to return to the kennel and those who loved and cared for her the last month of her little life. Libby touched the lives of so many at the shelter with her enthusiasm for life and her faith in mankind, who used her for puppies and tossed her damaged body aside. She did not deserve to die at such a young age, the result of someone's selfishness and greed.

Please educate yourself about the differences between a backyard breeder and a responsible breeder (or better yet-adopt!). By supporting backyard breeders you are supporting the mistreatment of innocent animals like Libby, used as breeding machines, receiving little to no medical attention or proper care.
